Folder view but able to search inside too

Awesome software.
I have the folder view but when I search it does not look in the folders. It seems to only search for the folder name not the files inside.
What have I done wrong?

to be clear.
Trying to achieve the following

When I open the software I want it to shows folders only with latest updated ones at top (using for mp3's only)
And then be able to search for files (songs) inside all folders and show results of folders only, then if I want I can click on folder to see what is inside.

You'll need the Everything 1.4 beta to sort efficiently by date modified.
From Tools -> Options -> Home
Set the search to:
folder:
Set the sort to:
Date Modified (Descending)

This will show folders only, sorted by date modified when you open Everything.

And then be able to search for files (songs) inside all folders and show results of folders only, then if I want I can click on folder to see what is inside.

Please try the child:<filename> search function, eg:
child:digweed

This will search for folders only, that has a sub file with the specified file name (digweed in this case).

I suppose all I really need is to have folders show before files in this view. Pls see attached. I think that will solve my issue.
And help me achieve seeing recent folders (which are albums) first at top and then being able to also search for any other tracks.

Hopefully this is possible?

One way is to sort by Date Created Descending, however you probably don't want the inverted sorting.

Please consider setting the Folder filter from the Search menu or searching for:
folder:

Thanks but doesn't do what I need as when in folder view it is only able to search folder names. I need it to be able to search the content of the folders too.
Doesn't seem to be able to be done as I read that everything has 2 different searches one for folders one for files.

Try enabling match path from the Search menu, that will match your search against the full path and file name (files inside folders).

that didn't help. It still only searched for folder names when in folder view

Either get latest updates folder to top in everything view.

OR
Be able to search inside folders when in Folder View as per screenshot attached
