Exclude a specific extension

Thanks for a most effective and practical search application, in fact it's everything I require.

Maybe someone can assist, I carefully studied the options but cannot figure the exclude files.
I've got six partitions and excluded one, easy enough to deselect whenever required.

What I want to set is to always exclude all files with the extension .lnk (*.lnk) at all times across all partitions.
How can I achieve that?

To exclude all .lnk files:

• In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Exclude tab.
• Change Exclude files to:

  Code: Select all

  *.lnk

• Click OK.

This is the best search tool EVER. I tell everyone I know about it. This functionality to exclude folders and file types is a much appreciated and welcome bonus to an already outstanding tool. I can't wait for the Mac version to be released. Thanks for all you do, voidtools.
