Force Rebuild at launch - new option?

Post by eswul62 »

The other day I Everything showed files and folders that actually weren't there anymore.
I didn't know that for sure though. They should have been deleted, but Everything still showed them.
When checking Explorer I could not find them. Were they hidden, protected, or what..?
My repeated attempts remained in vain.
Rebooting and launching Everything didn't make any difference.

Finally I remembered the Force Rebuild option ...
After that, indeed, the files/folders didn't appear anymore.

I am not sure whether it has been suggested before: what about adding an option like "Force rebuild at launch" ?
Sure, it will take a couple of seconds extra, but as it is an -option- the decision is left to the user.

thanks

Run Everything with the -nodb command line option to always create a new index whenever you run Everything:

Everything.exe -nodb
