How to "always limit to search in parent directory" from a specific network drive

Post by whipbread »

Hi,

Like the title suggests, I would like to setup Everything to always only search a network drive folder parent directory. Because the results are too cluttered otherwise with other folders.

My setup is something like this:

C:\RND\ (search everything)
O:\ (always only search parent directory)

I would really like to do this in settings, so I don't have to use search operators all the time. Or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

To specify which NTFS folders to include in the Everything index:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the NTFS tab.
  • Select your C: drive
  • Change Include only to: c:\rnd
  • Leave your O: drive as is.
  • For any other volumes uncheck Include in database for volumes you do not wish to include.
  • Click OK.
