Ghost drive

Post by johncz »

I had an USB drive connected to the computer with drive letter assigned by the system. It was disconnected and another drive was connected with different letter assigned by the system.
Now Everything is showing both drives but selecting anything from the old drive ends with an error since the drive is not available any longer.
How can I correct this?

Regards,
John

To remove the offline volume:
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the NTFS tab on the left.
  • Select the offline volume (It will be the volume where the Remove button is clickable)
  • Click Remove.
  • Click OK.
To automatically remove offline volumes
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the NTFS tab on the left.
  • Check Automatically remove offline volumes.
  • Click OK.
