I have a problem with the long start of the Windows system

Post by Debugger »

I have a problem with the long start of the Windows system, about 15-20 minutes.
"Running Windows System" (hanging)
I tried to repair "Fix Computer" with booting.
But even this application does not start.
SFC /SCANNOW does not help, CHKDSK also.
It happened suddenly.

HARD DISK SENTINEL shows:

Recently the following entries added to System Event Log:
4 warnings, most recent: (iaStorA; ID: 129)
The following function can be used to improve the situation: Disk -> Surface Test -> Disk repair
At this point, warranty replacement of the disk is not yet possible, only if the health drops further.
The TRIM feature of the SSD is supported and enabled for optimal performance.

HDSentinel SMART: Health: Excellent
Crystal Disk Info: Good

Does this have anything to do with Everything?

If you restart your computer in Safe Mode, is that quicker?

Can you boot quickly from a bootable CD/Flash drive, be it Windows based or otherwise (Linux)?

Could be hardware (though 20 minutes would make me think not).
Remove all ancillary hardware; flash drives, extra HDD, CD, printers... & test.
Check memory (would also think unlikely).

SMART is not an end-all. SMART can return OK, yet drive still bad.
Check cables, make sure secure.
You can always run CHKDSK on a drive, without the /F option (if you're unable to do that at present) & see what that might say.

Check (Windows) Event Viewer & see what it might have logged...

can not start the computer in safe mode, it stops on the file: iaStor.sys

I have already updated my disk drivers for a long time, so it is not possible to break down so badly.

I forgot a tool that analyzes what process or program extends computer startup. Do you know what tools they are?
In the event log I found this information:
A device reset command \ Device \ RaidPort0 has been issued.

The system has SSD and one HDD 3TB (NEW DISK)

How to check which partition is:
Device \ Harddisk3 \ DR3

How to check which partition is:
Device \ Harddisk3 \ DR3
Please try the Disk Management to view disk information:
  • From the Start menu, click Run.
  • Type in the following and press ENTER:
    compmgmt.msc
  • Click Disk Management on the left.
  • Disk numbers and partitions should be listed at the bottom right.
If you are having trouble booting, please try diskpart to list disk information:
  • From a command prompt, type in the following and press ENTER:
    diskpart
  • Type in the following and press ENTER:
    list disk

Most common solutions for SSD problems:
1. Update the firmware
2. Update the drivers (download them from the Intel site; Windows Update might have overwrtten them)
3. Disk full. Move data to another disk.

1. Firmware - there is no new firmware, I think that there is no problem here
2. I installed the newest and older drivers - see if it helps, but not
3. I have never had a problem with it, even if about 20 GB of free space

Sometimes the SSD is starting Windows 7 faster and sometimes seriously for VERRRRY long.

There used to be a special tool to monitor the time to start any program or process that causes a longer run, and I solved this problem quickly. Only damn I do not remember the name and I do not know if it is still available for download.
I'm looking for directions.
