This error occurs when Everything database is not sorted correctly.

Are you able to reproduce the error? -If so, could you please send some debug output:

• In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:

• Open the specific video.
• What is shown in the debug console?

What version of Everything are you using ? (Help -> About)
Does the latest nightly build help?

Thank you for this amazing tool. I have been using for many years and nothing is like it.

Recently it has been crashing with the error 11989. I am using it on two Windows devices. It is indexing a NAS drive. It indexes everything and while idle it randomly crashes and then re-creates the database

Please try the latest version of Everything.

There has been a few fixes to prevent this database corruption error.
