Invoking Everything from the task tray via shortcut?

Post by mtemp »

Hello,
is it possible to invoke Everything from the task tray e.g.a by a link file with a shortcut key assigned?

It would be faster for me than using the mouse...

thanks, carlos

To add "Everything" to the Quick Launch Toolbar:
  • In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab.
  • Check Quick launch shortcut.
  • Click OK.
To set a keyboard shortcut key to open "Everything":
  • In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the General tab.
  • Select the Modifier key (Control, Alt and/or Shift).
  • Select the Hotkey.
  • Click OK.

For a keyboard shortcut to start it,- Going through that list, I see items like View.Togglefullscreen But which is the item to restore the window into view? or to start "everything"?

The keyboard shortcut option is in the General Options tab.

Please note, the keyboard shortcut option is only supported in "Everything" 1.2.1.371 or later.
