Searching in more than 1 Drive
Re: Searching in more than 1 Drive
Is your C: drive formatted with NTFS?
"Everything" will only work with NTFS volumes.
You may need to convert your C: drive to NTFS.
See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307881 for more information.

Re: Searching in more than 1 Drive
I just followed the instructions and converted my C: drive to an NTFS.
I rebooted my system but it's still only searching D: drive.
Do I need to change where it searches manually, or does it do it automatically?
Thanks for replying by the way.

Re: Searching in more than 1 Drive
"Everything" should include all NTFS volumes by default.
You can try to add the volume manually if "Everything" does not detect it.
To add a volume manually:
In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Volumes tab.
Select the volume you wish to include from the Local NTFS volumes list.
Check Check Media.
Check Enable USN Journal logging.
Check Include in database.
Check Monitor changes.
Click OK.

Perfect.
Thanks a lot mate. Works 100% now.
There aren't any disadvantages of NTFS over FAT are there?

Re: Searching in more than 1 Drive
The only one I know of is that windows 95/98 or DOS won't be able to access the drive without special drivers. Generally NTFS is considered faster, safer and all around better than FAT.There aren't any disadvantages of NTFS over FAT are there?
