Empty Folders Cleanup for External Drives

how to delete/clear HISTORY for external drives "empty folders".

the external driver is not connected; and when i search for empty folders,
the external drives empty folders show up; and am unable to clear or delete them.

please advise

To remove your offline external drive from your Everything index:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the NTFS tab on the left.
• Select your offline external drive.
• Click Remove.
• Click OK.

If the external drive is not listed above, please try removing the folder index of your external drive:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Folders tab on the left.
• Select your offline external drive.
• Click Remove.
• Click OK.
