How to make a full switch to 1.5?

I am using 1.4 but I want to switch to 1.5 and keep my settings,history,bookmarks,filters and so on
The same way as upgrading to a newer 1.4 where you just replace the exe and everything work

I am using the service on 1.4
Do I just need to rename file or what?

In short:

Remove the service in the old version
and stop the running Everything.

Delete Everything.exe

Set the following in the Everything.ini file
alpha_instance=0

Create an empty file "NO_ALPHA_INSTANCE" (no extension !) in the Everything dir.

Install or copy the new version into the old Everything dir.
Let install the service and start with Windows.

if the user didn't run both versions in parallel

So just to clarify can everything be imported or not what you’ve wrote in red? Not interested in Search history or run history but want to keep filters and bookmarks?

Apologies I’ve misread can see can import book marks separately to settings.
