Hi
I found search everything was crash when i try to search and delete thumbs.db files(there are a many).
For debugging please download thumbs.zip and extract it, copy in many folders in many drives also for better debugging.
Make sure use force build in settings for found new changes, then type thumbs.db and try to select all of them and try to delete by delete key or shift delete key or right click when all if them selected.
You can see search everything hang and crashed.
Note that i use x86(32 bit) version of Everything 1.4.1.1009 on windows 7(updated), maybe other windows and types have same crash you tell me.
Keep me in touch, regards

About how many are many?
If you try to delete the same number of "other" (i.e., not this .db file) files, will that also crash on you?
Can you provide, Mini crash dump.

(I don't know what I'm looking at, but...)
Any change if you disable Avast (if that's something easily done?).

Re: Crash By Deleting *.db files
Thank you for the mini crash dumps.
The mini crash dumps show Everything waiting for the context menu to be created by the OS. (IContextMenu3::QueryContextMenu)
Everything should eventually recover from the hang.
Please allow for 1 minute per 1000 files selected.
It might take longer if you have context menu shell extensions installed.
How many Thumbs.dll files are you deleting?
Instead of deleting through the context menu, please try deleting from the File menu -> Delete. (hold down shift if you want to permanently delete)
-or-
Select the db files and press Del (Shift + Del to permanently delete)
To disable context menu shell extensions in Everything:
