Explorer shutdown problem with context menu

Post by vantablack »

To search for content in a particular folder in Windows Explorer, when I click Everything in context menu, everything runs and Explorer shuts down at the same time.

Also, when Everything is running, simply right-click on the file in the Explorer causes the Explorer to shut down.

I am using everything version 1.5.0.1.1281a / 1.4.1.1005 and both have the same problem.

Can you list off any other software you have installed that uses shell extensions, system hooks, otherwise embedded in windows explorer?

I guess you have a misbehaving Context menu extension installed.
Use the ShellExView from NirSoft and disabling all or some none-Microsoft extensions
to find the culprint.

Yes!! it happened because of the another extension.
And thanks to you, I solved the problem using ShellExView.
Thank you so much!!!

Could you name the extension in case someone else mentions it in the future?
