Keep view/sort by/Date Modified - sometimes it changed to Name by itself - guess I do it somehow LOL

Everything will reset to sorting by Name when the sort would take a long time after changing the search.

For example, you search for:
c:\windows
Sort by Date Created
then clear the search
Everything will reset to sorting by Name.

Please consider enabling fast sort for other properties:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Indexes tab on the left.
• Check Fast size sort.
• Check Fast date modified sort.
• Check Fast path sort. (Everything 1.4)
• Optionally check Index xxx and Fast xxx sort for other properties.
• Click OK.

When fast sorting is enabled, the sort will be instant and persistent.

I might be misreading something, but I think what you want is

Options -> General -> Home -> Sort: Date Modified

The Fast path sort option was removed in Everything 1.5.

It is always enabled to improve performance when updating your indexes.
