How to keep search query intact in toggle mode?

Hi,

Long-time Everything user and fan here. Many thanks for keeping this very useful tool free and updated, much appreciated.

I've recently reinstalled Everything on a new PC, and I can;t seem to find the right settings to keep the search query intact after toggling the window off and then on again.

On my previous PC, if I toggled the window on, then entered a search query, that search query and the search results remained intact after toggling the window off and then on again, or after closing the window, then pressing the toggle shortcut to make the window reappear.

I've tried all kinds of settings, but haven't succeeded in restoring the above behaviour.

To remember the last search:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Home tab on the left.
• Change Search to: Use last value.
• Click OK.
