Does "Everything" use much space on C drive? Can't figure out why it's getting filled up.

I do whatever I can to keep things off my 128 gb C drive (SSD). I put everything I can on the next 128 SSD partition or external hard drive. Lately I keep getting messages the C drive is filling up and it was down to 300 mb today! It's just pretty much-Windows, program files and app data. I have Windows Update turned off (it never worked properly) so I just manually update Windows Defender. I found one program that I wasn't using and got 3gb back but something's already using about 400 mb from that. I use "Everything" quite a bit. A great program! I wonder if it might be making a large cache somewhere. Also I tried to use it to see what's recent that's taking space on the C drive but couldn't figure it out. Thanks.

Does "Everything" use much space on C drive?

No.

But you might use Everything to investigate just what is taking up so much of your space .

List all files, sort by Size.
List all directories (folder:), sort by Size.
Sort by Date Modified, & see if something interactively turns up & peaks your interest...

I appreciate your reply. Today those 3gb are gone and just afew hundred mb left. Earlier today I used a lite version of CcCleaner and got 1gb back but after some hours its mostly gone. I'll be studying the steps to do what you mentioned. Thanks.
