finding .jpg duplicates

Post by vare »

First post...
Got lost in the settings, reset to default, reinstalled, but cannot get the correct settings for my search.
The search is resultless.
I have a lot of .JPG duplicates, the duplicates all have an ending of filename like this:
2022-02-21 12-10-10 - 0001(2).JPG
2022-02-21 12-10-10 - 0001(3).JPG
etc.
I cannot for the life of me find a search setting for (2) (3) and so on.
Can anyone guide me on this one?
I love "Everything" and was so happy when I found it, many thanks!

Best regards

Thank you for your feedback vare,

Please make sure no search options are checked under the Search menu (eg: uncheck match case, uncheck match whole words, uncheck regex)

Please make sure the Everything filter is active under the Search menu.

Please try the following search:

(2).jpg | (3).jpg | (4).jpg | (5).jpg | (6).jpg | (7).jpg | (8).jpg | (9).jpg

Hello!
Thanks for the quick reply, appreciate it!

I can't get it to work...
Tried to find (2).JPG and Copy.JPG
Here are 2 screendumps, one from Everything setting and one of a test folder.

What is the exact search you are using?

Does Everything find any results when searching for:
.jpg

Does Everything find any results if you search for:
"2022-02-21 12-10-10 - 0001(2).JPG"

Is your D: drive included in your index?
Please make sure you are including all your NTFS volumes under Tools -> Options -> NTFS.

Are you trying to find ABC (2).JPG only when ABC.JPG exists?
