sorting audio files in a particular folder and sub folders by length

Post by irish »

Hi, i am looking at
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9788
"To index properties for a specific file type only, for example to index the Length property for mp3 files in D:\Media only:
"In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Properties tab on the left."
I can do that.
I go to "properties" under "network index"
But I cannot see where "length" Are we still talking about within the "tools" menu?

So you completed step 1 and 2 from the instructions below.

After you clicked Properties in the left pane, the right pane shows the Properties Indexing settings.
Do you see an Add button in the right pane?
If so, continue with Step 3:

To add a property to your index:
  1. In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Properties tab on the left.
  3. Click Add....
  4. Select a property and click OK.
  5. Check Fast Sort for instant sorting.
  6. Click OK.

Everything will perform a quick reindex
Everything will read this property for the selected file types in the background.
Progress is shown in the status bar.
Right click this progress bar to optionally pause (and later resume) property indexing.
