Hotkey to create new folder in selected directory or selected file's parent directory

Post by theAnnot8or »

I’d love a hotkey to create a new folder in the selected directory or the selected file's parent directory. The latter would function much like all the other Parent hotkeys in the Everything 1.5a alpha.

I picture both situations creating a new folder with its "New Folder" text selected, ready for renaming, just like when you create a new folder in File Explorer.

Thanks for considering!

Everything 1.5 has a Folder sidebar.

In the Folder sidebar, you can select a folder, right-click it and select New folder. Or press the familiar 'CTRL + SHIFT + N' keyboard shortcut.
Hotkeys can be changed under menu:Tools > Options > Keyboard

I will consider a keyboard shortcut to create a new folder in the path of the currently selected file/folder. (parent path for files)
I will consider a right click -> New folder option when clicking in the path column.

Thank you for the suggestions.
