Open a Result With a Specific Program with Bookmarks and Search Commands?

Post by postfreq »

I've looked through search commands but couldn't find one that could help me do what I want. My goal is to be able to have a bookmark that executed a result with a specific program, something like "/run C:/Program Files/.../Photoshop.exe 0" to open the top result with Photoshop. Is there something like this?

Not exactly your request but similar.
I run the Everything toolbar, which has a rule processor.
This allows to execute programs depending on the file type of the Everything results.
There can be more than one rule for certain extension.
The rules I have look like this:

That looks pretty powerful, I might try Everything Toolbar if I can't find some other way. Thank you.

On the (long) to-do list is also an option to create your own contextmenu entries in Everything.
When that gets implemented, you could add your program(s) there.

That sounds perfect, here's to steady progress.

I have also stumbled upon "verbs" mentioned in relation to a similar problem, but I couldn't make sense of how to configure them from Microsoft articles. I'll have to give it another go sometime.
