Driver label - How to?

Post by clickshe »

Greetings,

I have many hard disks, not all of them mounted.
As I have associated the same drive letter with more than one drive
to categorise the contents,
I ask someone, the kindness to tell me,
step by step, how I can also store the label of each disk in the path
along with the drive letter of each disk.

I've read that questions/requiests have already been asked about this,
but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Please, step by step instructions, where to click and what do in Everything,
as if explained to a child, is that possible?

Not possible with Everything 1.4, sorry.

Please try Everything 1.5 and the Index Volume Label property:
  • Right click the result list column header and click Add Columns....
  • To the right of Search, type in:
    label
  • Select Index Volume Label and click OK.
The volume label will be shown in the new Index Volume Label column.

I only have two there, with Name of Description and Label - no Index Volume Label for me in 1.5.0.1352a x64 Portable

Do you have a selection on the left? -Please make sure the Everything selection is highlighted on the left.

I noticed that on the left, "Everything Properties", on the top, must be selected.
Than you can type "label" in the search field on the right.

If on the left is selected an other voice, the search does not return any valid results.
