Remember last filter / default filter

Sorry to jump in here but it feels close to my issue/request:

Everything allows you to set the type of search to one of "Everything, Audio, Compressed,...,Video". This is wonderful. However, I wish there were a user preference/Option to CLEAR this choice when the program closes (or opens). I'm ashamed to admit the number of times I made fruitless searches for something I KNEW I had, but couldn't find. Then, I discovered that the search was set to "Video", or some such. Duh.

To set the default filter:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Home tab on the left.
• Select your default filter.
• Click OK.
