Everything will only use your clipboard when referenced with clipboard: in your search.

Are you using clipboard: in your search?

Are you trying to open Everything with the clipboard content already in the search box, so you can skip pasting your clipboard content into the search box?

oops, I made a mistake. I used third-party software to call everything, which has a function to retrieve the clipboard. I just turned off this function and it worked fine. Thank you for your help!
