[Suggestion] Let keyboard shortcut issues if renaming files

Issues if renaming files or other type area actived states. If it is not a single shift modifier combine with printable character, helpless, at the search bar, this kind issues.

e.g. Ctrl + T for new tab. It's now functioning as select all, while renaming files, never know besides Ctrl + A before.

When renaming a file, typing the name, Ctrl + T was set to open new tab, but now it perform select all, when renaming a file. That's an coincident, it has a built-in function I think, to select all. It doesn't really matter at this case, the matter is at the moment Ctrl + T won't perform the user defined keyboard shortcut function while renaming a file. What is suggested is to finish renaming and perform user defined action, upon the keyboard shortcut fired.

Do you mean it only happened on my situation?

Edit: I've tried with new copy of Everything64.exe and default config, same.

Edit: It select all of the characters when edit name, not select all result list entries.

Thanks for the about:keys information.

Everything enters a dialog modal when renaming.
Keyboard shortcuts are not allowed while in this dialog modal.



I will consider allowing Ctrl + T or Ctrl + N inside a rename.

Thank you for the suggestion.



For now, either commit the rename (Enter) or cancel the rename (ESC), then perform your keyboard shortcut. (eg: Ctrl + T for new tab)
