Suggest: Experimental 'Auto-hide Empty Columns' feature.

Post by raccoon »

I think it would be extremely cool if columns (column headers) could be set to automatically hide from view when no data is displayed in them for any objects currently visible on screen in the results list.

While scrolling down the results list and data does appear in one of those automatically hidden columns, the column will magically appear. Then disappear again when empty again from further scrolling.

Some columns, like Name, Path, etc would never automatically hide, even when there are 0 items in the results view.

This feature would make adding more columns a lot more permissive, without being unnecessarily cluttering.

Optional: Auto-hide columns when values are all "0", treating 0 as the same as empty for numeric data columns.

Thank you for the auto-hide suggestion raccoon,

I will consider adding an option to do this.
