Q: Indexing Network Drives without Mapping to Drive Letter

Post by EverythingUser1 »

Any help would be appreciate.

I use several network drive folders. The parent folder is huge. I want to index only certain sub folders. I do not want to map to all of the subfolders to drive letters. Is there a way of adding a single network folder to an index without mapping to a drive? I tried adding a folder, but you have to select from a dialog bog and there was not an option to simply enter the network location.

Thanks,

You can add whatever parts of a drive you want, mapped drive letter or UNC path:
\\Nas\office\DOCS\PDF

as opposed to:
\\Nas\office\DOCS\trumpgate
\\Nas\office\DOCS\ZIPS
