The length and other video properties are not shown in the columns?

Post by Biff »

The length property and other video properties are indexed:

Indexing is finished but the length and other video properties are not shown in the columns for N::

For I: they are shown.

How could I show the properties of the videos on N: and other drives?

Please try reindexing your N: drive:

In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:

Why were the properties not indexed before (although it was displayed)?

The properties might be missing if the drive was offline or inaccessible at the time of property indexing.

Hard to say without seeing logs.

Does the issue persist after a reindex with debug logging enabled:
  • In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Start Debug Logging.
  • From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, check Verbose.
  • From the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Indexes tab on the left.
  • Click Force Rebuild.
    --wait for indexing to complete--
--wait for property indexing to complete (status is shown on the bottom right of the status bar)--
  • From the Tools menu, under the Debug submenu, click Stop Debug Logging.
--this will open your Everything Debug Log.txt file in notepad--
  • Are any properties missing? -If so, could you please send your Everything Debug Log.txt to support@voidtools.com

Thank you, I will try that.

Maybe my observation was wrong anyway, so I will for the next occasion / drives to be scanned and check again.

Many thanks!
