I have been using the program for years, everything is great, but sometimes there are deficiencies in indexing, so there is a feature I would like you to add. Thank you very much if you do.
It would be great if you add an "automatic indexing" option to Tools>Options>Indexes>Force rebuild option. It can get a completely fast index when the computer is idle. The index may stop when the user starts working.
Everything can automatically index when the PC is idle.
Re: Everything can automatically index when the PC is idle.
I will consider an option to occasionally reindex.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Everything doesn't track deleted hard links.
Everything 1.5 will track new hard links.
To force a rebuild:
To force a rebuild from the command line:
Everything.exe -reindex
Consider creating a scheduled task to call the above every month at 3am.
Everything 1.5 will perform an index update in the background.
Another option is to use folder indexing over NTFS indexing.
Folder indexes are updated daily in the background.
