Search History Filters?

With Everything using Alt-Left arrow, I can go back in previous searches for the current session, including changing to the previous search's filter.

However if Everything is closed, reopened, and choosing History/Show all Search History to go back to a previous search which had a different filter, it uses the current filter unchanged? Does the History not keep the filters used in previous searches?

No, search history does not keep the active filter.



Alt-Left Arrow / Alt-Right Arrow use Navigation history.

Currently, navigation history is cleared when you close your Everything search window.



Sessions are on my TODO list.
Sessions will remember navigation history.



For now, please consider enabling hide_on_close:

• In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Advanced tab on the left.
• To the right of Show settings containing, search for:
  close
• Select hide_on_close.
• Set the value to: true
• Click OK.

When you close Everything, the window is instead hidden.
When you reshow an Everything window, this hidden window is restore along with your navigation history.
