Mapping subdirectories in Everything Server

Post by V@no »

I have Computer-A network sharing 2 folders:
  1. C:\foo\ as foo$
  2. C:\foo\bar\ as bar$
On Computer-B I have mapped network share \\Computer-A\bar$\ as Z:\ drive.

Now, on Computer-A in Everything Server section I've added in include only:
C:\foo\bar\ (Z:\)

It works great, on Computer-B it shows results from Computer-A as Z:\* paths.
However, if I want to include indexes for C:\foo\ and add:
C:\foo\ (\\Computer-A\foo$\)

then on Computer-B all paths will be as \\Computer-A\foo$\ even when they are accessible through Z:\ drive

Would be nice either be able prioritize mapping paths or automatically detect subdirectories

Thank you.

I will consider support for remapping nested folders.
(There's a technical reason this isn't support due to monitoring changes)
Thank you for the feedback.

For now, please try adding a new user on the Everything Server:
Make the original user account remap only C:\foo
Make the new user account remap C:\foo\bar

Add the new user account to your Everything clients.
