V1.3.2.649b: No Indexes

Post by flax »

Hi !

I had some Problems with my PC with Windows 7 32bit an a NTFS-Drive in RAID 1 on an PCI-Controller long time ago without solving the problems (I switched back to XP = no problems with Everything). http://forum.voidtools.com/viewtopic.ph ... 948&p=3084

Now i give it a new try but big problem again:
Windows 7 32bit on a Samsung SSD 830 (Drive C:)
HDD with three drives (Drives F:, G:, H:)
RAID 1 with two HDD, PCI Controller with SiL chipset (Drive E:)
V1.3.2.649b (zip)
no index at all, it only shows the drive letters = 5 Objects

debug:

In the options "Enable USN Journal" is grey for all drives...

If I add the drives as folder, than i get an index. But than the index isn't up-to-date = monitor changes continously or?

Do you have a solution without adding as folders?

Hi David!

I tried this before...

If i run Everything as service, Everything is hanging with status message "Querying USN change journal on local drives C:" and the window is empty.

Debug:

Code: Select all

load localization
load everything icon
create mutex
bookmarks
set hook
create tray
db_load
new thread (0)
no bz2 file
loaded db in 0.000364 seconds
enter setfocus
WM_ACTIVATE 00000001 00000000, lastfocus 00000000, current focus 00000000
leave setfocus
invalidate
enter main loop

If I try it running as Administrator it's nearly the same, but it hangs on querying the raid drive E:

Thanks for the debug output.

What is the debug output when you run Everything as administrator?

Are there any problems detected when you check the E: volume for errors?

To check for errors:
  • Right click the E: drive in Explorer and click Properties.
  • Click the Tools tab.
  • Click Check now...
