Search history [version 1.4.0.713b (x64)]

Post by Ralf »

Hello,

first I have to say that I use the tool daily. Very good, very fast :D
I would need hours if I would have to use Windows file Explorer search for several hdds. That is why I have done a small donation.

I have a question, please, concerning search history:
I search e.g. for 1st "movie123", 2nd "dovu123" (with typo), 3rd "docu123". How can I go back with Control + Z more than one search to "movie123"?
At the Moment I can only go back once to "dovu123".

Thank you for Feedback, Ralf

I'm thinking you can't do that?

In this case, Ctrl+Z being a (Windows) shortcut key to "undo", & that will affect the last two entered texts.

Assuming you have typed the search terms, but not entered into the results list, the entered terms have not (at that point) been entered into Everything's history.

Thanks for the donation.

If you enable search history from Tools -> Options -> History -> Enable Search History, you will be able to go back to previous searches.

Note: Everything will only add a search to the search history if you press enter from the search box, or perform an action for the current search.

To go back to previous searches when search history is enabled, press Alt + Left arrow.

Wow, that is great. Alt + <= goes back and Alt + => goes forward.

Thank you for your answers.
