when I double click to open office files - excel, word documents, i get this error message.
I have included a screenshot of the error message I get.
When I go to the folder and open the file, it opens up without any issue.
Please advise if there is workaround for this. Thank you.

Re: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error
You might be running Everything as administrator.
If that is the case:
BTW:
You are running a virtualized version of MS Office (App-V application), basically running Office in a bubble without a possibility for other programs to see inside or penetrate this bubble (but Office in the bubble can see the rest of your system without problem).
There are limited 'contact surfaces' to interact with Office from the outside world, but that depends on how your organization sequenced (= build) the Office application. They should be aware of interaction with Everything.
(Please don't tell me that you are running Everything on a company machine without approval of the IT department ..)
If that is the case:
- Enable Everything Service
- Disable Run as administrator
- Completely exit Everything by right-clicking the Everything icon in the systemtray and choosing Exit
- Start Everything.
