Searching in Everything - non-stop problem!

Post by Debugger »

Searching in Everything is more complicated than in MasterSeeker.

What I can find very easily and quickly in MasterSeeker always returns 0 results in Everything.... And in Ewverytng I am completely confused by the stupid queries I have to type in to find something.

For example, it doesn't work

SubFolder may contain ‘2025short’ in the name and ‘.mp4’ is the extension of the files in this subfolder

NOT WORK

2025short *.mp4

PATH:

K:\WinX\long name UNICODE/CHINESE.................................2025short\

I have to type the whole path in quotation marks every time, it doesn't work with the matching part of the subfolder name without the quotation marks.

But where are the simple options/funcions/on/off, without having to type annoying commands/queries like “path-part:” etc.?

Search | Match Path

Don't know, but maybe you can set up a hotkey to toggle it in case you don't want it, always on?

You can use Bookmarks or Macros to do this.
