Is this something normal
If I run Everything as normal user(use the service),everything will show the folder size but if I right click=>properties on a folder that requires admin access, the size I get is 0
For example the folders oin
"C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\"
When I run Everything as admin,I can get the size but runing as admin cases a lot of problems for me
Cannot get size of a folder
Re: Cannot get size of a folder
And why do you need the size from the properties ?vsub wrote: Thu Dec 26, 2024 1:58 pm Is this something normal

You already see the size in the normal Everything Window.
Re: Cannot get size of a folder
That's not the point,I am asking if it's normal
Re: Cannot get size of a folder
Yes. It is normal.
If you right click WindowsApps then Open, you will get a message saying you do not have permission to read the folder - so Windows can't read it to get file sizes.
