Copy to Folder & Keyboard Issues

Hello all. I'm looking forward to using what appears to be a speedy search tool.
I have a couple things that I am not sure are bugs, or just s/w anomalies.

1) Whenever I use the tool to find specific files within my music folder, when I use the
"Copy To Folder" (under the Edit menu) the actual process is horrendously slow. I've seen grass grow faster. It takes hours to move files.

2) For some reason, whenever I'm using Everything search, I find that is having an effect on my wireless keyboard/mouse (Logitech). It attenuates the response of both and at times even stops the keyboard from working. I have to reboot the system to get operational again. I have troubleshot it the best I can, but it always comes to whenever I start-up Everything search.

I appreciate any and all input/suggestions.

I hope it is neither one of them ...

One circumstance I can think of that could cause this behaviour is Everything still updating its indexes in the background, which could use too many resources for other actions to complete in a reasonable time.


To test if this is the case:

• Go to Menu => Tools => Options => General
• Enable Start Everything on system startup
• Exit Everything ( Menu => File => Exit)
• Restart your system
• Log in
• Wait 5 minutes before using Everything
• Try to copy your files as before.

Is the copy process now faster?
(BTW: bamboo is also a grass and can grow 90 cm a day, which is quite fast in my book )
