Possible to install and run 1.4 without affecting 1.3?

I use 1.3 but would like to try out 1.4.
Is it possible to install and run 1.4 without affecting 1.3?
I am on WinXP.

Yes, please try the portable zip version of Everything 1.4:

• Extract the Everything.exe to a new folder.
• Create a shortcut to the extracted Everything.exe and add the command line option -instance "1.4"
  "C:\Everything\Everything.exe" -instance "1.4"
• Run the new shortcut.
