Cant find small files, Cant open any file

Everything cant find any small file such as jpg or docs. And when it finds a file and I try to open it it says it cannot find it and the path is really weird, This morning I changed the virtual memory on my C drive but now i put back to automatic, just in case, but it still doesnt work. Any tips on this? Many thanks

Take a deep breath and tell us what is really going on here....

What was your search query?
What filename (including complete path!) did you expect to be found (check in File Explorer).
Did you have any search options activated besides "Everything" (under Menu:Search)
What is shown in the status bar?
What is the "really weird path" you are talking about? (we don't know what folders you created on your system, so for us, everything is "normal")

What Windows version? Everything version? 32-bit or 64-bit?

Folders appearing in the wrong location can be caused by database corruption.

Please try forcing a rebuild:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Indexes tab on the left.
• Click Force Rebuild.
• Click OK.

Does the issue persist?
