Please try killing the Everything process, deleting your Everything.db and restarting Everything:
- From the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + ESC), under the Processes Tab, select Everything.
(If there's more than one, click the one using the most memory) - Click End Task.
--- - In Windows Explorer, type in the following address and press ENTER:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Everything - Delete your Everything.db
- Restart Everything.

Better to use the Everything Service (Tools | Options | General -> Everything Service) [rather then running Everything "as Admin"].
