Final version

Post by demoniak61 »

Hi, this may sound like a silly question, but when will the final 1.5 version be available?

I am working on the final changes to Everything 1.5 alpha.

I don't have a beta release / release date yet.

Thank you very much.

Everything 1.5 is such a massive improvement to 1.4 that I almost think it should be called 2.0!

Will localization/translation be available for the final version of Everything 1.5a?

Localization === Adding various translations to work in other countries. English, Chinese, Spanish, etc.

That's amazing - thank you for the efforts

I've been using 1.5 for quite a while now (it's much more useful than 1.4 I must say) - but I'm still not used to the UI being English lol

For now, please copy your Everything.lng to the same location as your Everything64.exe
Restart Everything.
Change your language under Tools -> Options -> General -> Language.
Only Everything 1.4 strings are translated.
New strings will remain in English.

Super excited to get a final version. I check on almost daily basis if there is a new version or not.

Any rough idea by when do you think it will be released if not any specific date ?

You will not get a final version in the near future.
As the Author said, there comes a beta version.

I am glad Everything's release schedules are based on functionality- and quality-levels instead of on random dates ...

Besides: a William What's His Name wrote some wise words about this (ca 400 years ago):
O, be some other name!
What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet

I didn't want to create a whole new topic, but I wanted to ask when you think a beta could be out. If far away, is the alpha stable enough that I could daily drive it? There are too many cool features (thanks) that I want/need to use. :D

The day you make a donation to the cause :D

Seriously, stop spamming with this type of messages. Is annoying.

If someone loves the app and wants to know when the Beta will be released, what is your problem with that?
if it is annoying then you should not be reading it. Simple.

Yes it is good enough for daily use. I've been using the 1.5 alpha version instead of the 1.4 version for half a year so far and its performance is satisfactory.

With the "alpha_instance" argument set to "false", you can replace 1.4 with 1.5 without any major issues.
